Since first hearing about this place I have always wanted to go. On my next visit to Panama I will hopefully go.

Coiba was a penal colony for many years and for that reason was never developed. It is one of the most untouched islands on the Pacific coast of the Americas and is covered with virgin forests filled with wildlife found nowhere else.

The barrier reef surrounding it is the second largest in the Pacific after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The whole area has now become a huge marine park.

For more info see the Official Coiba site.

Hola there! I have heard that Coiba is really beautiful. I have never been there, but I'll fix that soon :)
