Want beaches?
October 29, 2006Panama has a very long coast line and tons of beaches and islands, no guide book manages to cover them all, but finally a site has come to help people explore and review many of the previously little known beaches.
Almanaque Azul is great and truly is a work of love by Panamanians in love with the beauty of their own country.
For foreigners the main problem with the site is that it is in Spanish only. However there are great clickable maps and lots of photos of various beaches, so even if you don’t know Spanish you should be able to enjoy the site.
Here are a few of the fantastic little known beaches and island they cover:
- Punta Chame - the windy peninsula so close to the capital
- Escudo de Veraguas - the little known island in the Caribbean
- Isla Iguana - the secret island close to Chitré
